About Bodycam Files

Bodycam Files is an independent documentary archive of police body-worn camera footage. Our goal is simple: present real incidents as they were recorded, organized so you can find and understand them.

Where the footage comes from

Videos in this archive are obtained through public-records and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests submitted to law-enforcement agencies. We credit the source agency on each video where possible.

Our editorial stance

We aim to observe and inform, not to sensationalize. Footage is presented with context, content advisories, and, where appropriate, redaction to protect the privacy of victims, witnesses, and minors. Bodycam Files is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any law-enforcement agency, and takes no partisan position.

How this is funded

Public-records requests cost real money. Rather than rely on advertising, Bodycam Files is supported primarily by merch — every order helps fund requests for more footage. Thank you for the support.
